Nadilia Gomez

Nadilia Gomez has over a decade of experience in plant sciences and digital ag R&D, corporate innovation, and innovation-driven entrepreneurship. She can help you navigate our vast digital and precision ag resource pool to achieve your goals in the fastest and most efficient way.

Nadilia Gomez is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Digital and Precision Agriculture Bioscience Platform at Iowa State University. As CTO, Gomez works closely with faculty at ISU and BioConnect Iowa to identify ag technologies with commercial potential. From 2019 to 2021 she was the executive director for the Iowa AgriTech Accelerator running a 3 month program to connect global ag entrepreneurs with Iowa-based ag leaders. From 2010 to 2019, she worked for DuPont Pioneer and Corteva in a variety of roles in digital ag innovation and commercialization, including managing a portfolio of research initiatives in digital innovation and training scientists on principles of innovation-driven entrepreneurship. Gomez has an M.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in applied plant science, breeding and molecular genetics, and an MBA in food and ag systems from Iowa State University, and she’s a graduate of the MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program. Gomez has been a mentor of the Community Connect program of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and has served on the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council. She currently serves on the board of ViClarity, the Whiterock Conservancy, and the Ivy Women of Business Council.
